Lockout / Tagout
Course Description
This course is designed to develop the participant’s:
- Awareness of the risks associated with Lockout Tag Out
- Knowledge of Lock Out /Tag out safe work practices
- Understanding of the control measures required during Lockout Tag Out procedures.
Training shall consist of a combination of formal instruction (e.g., lecture, discussion, interactive, video, written material). Each candidate will undergo a theory assessment (multiple-choice questions) at the end of the course.
Course Objective
By the end of this training program, participants would be able to
- Recognize types of hazardous energy sources
- Understand responsibilities to create and maintain safe conditions
- Know to isolate and control hazardous energy with the use of “lockout/tagout” system
- Understand isolation methods
- Recognize of the requirements and limitations of tags
